In 2026, the Spanish government will introduce a major change in the way companies must issue invoices. This new system is called VeriFactu and will be mandatory for both companies and freelancers. What exactly is VeriFactu?

VeriFactu is ontwikkeld door de Spaanse belastingdienst (AEAT) en heeft één duidelijk doel: belastingfraude tegengaan en meer transparantie in de facturatie brengen. Elke factuur die wordt uitgereikt, moet digitaal worden vastgelegd en voorzien zijn van een QR-code. Met die code kan de klant zelf controleren of een factuur echt en gevalideerd is. 

How does Odoo help?

  • Equipped with the mandatory QR code.
